The gpu is massive. I've got a spartan 117 figurine standing on top of mine in the case next to the cpu cooler lol.

I think i may have just bought this card for £316.462 ($415.83 USD) NEW on ebay!

if the unit is in full working order i think i struck gold. I know this card is last gen now but it is still a fantastic card.
what do you reckon, did i get scammed? is it too good to be true or is it believeable.

Just upgraded to the 1080 ti asus strix and I love it. It’s a beast of a card despite the rtx cards are out now. If I do get an rtx card I’m building a new pc.

This card is a motherfucking monster. I'm running it with an i7 8700k (OC 5ghz, Corsair H150i), Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB 3200mhz (XMP), 2TB Samsung 970 EVO nVME and EVGA Supernova 1000 G2 in a Phanteks Evolve TG mid tower and it annihilates anything in its path at 2k (1440p) Ultra. Even the OC version (O11G, like the one I have) can still OC easily upwards of +100mhz on the clock, and +500mhz on the memory. I had a peak OC of +650mhz memory and +130mhz core but stable at +115mhz clock and +500mhz memory. Clock ran at approx. 2038mhz. I find that even stable OC's near the limit of what the card can handle can actually produce negative effects (like lower FPS) in some games. Make sure your max power target is 120% and your max voltage is 100% to allow the card (even in OC out of the box mode) to operate at peak performance. For overclocking, you need those targets to be where they are since the card can peak at 1.063-1.094v under load. Also I'd recommend a more aggressive fan curve if you're not concerned about acoustics, else the card OOTB (out of the box) will not start fans until approx. 50-55 degrees centigrade. IS IT WORTH IT? FUCK YES IT IS.

I have this GPU. On idle temp is between 24-28 degrees. Under full load 54 degrees maximum, believe or not.

Yeah thats great but imma be real with u cheef, if I saved for my entire life, sold my house, me and my families cars, my extended families house and cars and all of mine and the previously mentioned peoples possessions, sold them all into slavery, including me, get the biggest possible loan 3 different banks are willing to give me then take some donations off friends I may be able to buy the backplate. Soooo I’ll pass and stick to wishing I had a PC and wasn’t stuck on the Xbox I bought when I was to young to realise what I would make myself miss out on. Regrets…

so i bought this card, didn't fit in my case , so i had to get pliers , and basically destroy the hard drive bays . it looks like a car accident but i made it fi t, this son of a bitch card is massive , make sure you have the space , and don't destroy your case like i did , i didn't care , because who cares what the inside looks like aslong as it works , most of you would be ashamed if you saw my case , but whatever the card is in , it works and i can finally play somet fucking 4k games without lagging. the bitch does what was promised . I'm too afraid too over clock it tho

    Hey guys,
I bought this the other day, installed it but the coil whine was crazy, and games froze. I sent the card back, but after a call with the seller, he told me I installed it the wrong way which caused the freezes. I used 2 connectors on the same power cable, he said I needed to connect it on 2 different cables. Was he right? I'm very hesitant to try it again, since I was lucky enough to get my money back.

Hi. I need an advice please. I bought this 1080 Ti STRIX card today but there's a weird problem.. After putting it in my PC I plugged my 4k 65'' LG TV in one of the two HDMI output ports of the card and my HTC Vive in the HDMI VR Ready. I did few tests and I quickly realized that when I set the resolution of my TV in 4k there were some one or two seconds black screen cuts once every few seconds. Image pitch black during I'm in-game or in Windows. The sound is still running normally during it. Rebooting the PC and reinstalling the drivers did nothing so I searched a bit online and found this post: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/880214/geforce-900-series/for-all-people-with-black-screens-no-signal-issues/2/
Someone was suggesting to try to plug the TV in a Display port instead. I had no display port converter but a HDMI to DVI converter so I plugged my TV in the DVI using something like this
    https://www.startech.com/Cables/Audio-Video/HDMI/8in-HDMI-to-DVI-D-Video-Cable-Adapter-HDMI-Female-to-DVI-Male~HDDVIFM8IN
and it works normally with no blackouts. Is this problem normal or should I exchange it for another? Thanks a lot.

    I have one coming in today, it's the final piece of my build and I cannot wait to start running games at max. Here's my build;
GPU: Asus Strix GTX 1080 Ti OC
    CPU: i7-8700k
    MOBO: MSI Z370 Pro Carbon
    CPU cooler: Corsair H100i
    Case: NZXT 500i
    Ram: 16gb DDR4 3000hz
    Power Supply: EGVA 750w
For storage I am running a 1tb ssd from samsung and a 4tb barracuda.
this boi was spendy but he'll be worth it.

Now that the RTX 2080s were announced today, is it still worth buying this Asus 1080 TI or buy the new RTX 2080? Which one would you recommend?
