Just wondering if you or anyone has had issues with the Laptop's HDMI drive? I have had the laptop going on 4yrs strong. Replaced the screen, hinges, and now SSD over that time. Over the course of I want to say 2yrs, the HDMI doesn't seem to be detected on any TVs anymore. I've tried updating drivers, backtracking, and everything. Currently running windows 10 64bit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, what rubbish! I was reading the specifications and everything looked promising, especially the screen.
But . . . the K501LX has 4 gigabytes of memory * SOLDERED * to the motherboard! If the memory dies, you have to replace the whole damn computer!
It only has one memory slot, which only has a maximum of 8 gigabytes. So the total maximum memory is only 12 gigabytes, not 16 or 32 gigabytes.
That is a deal breaker.

had this laptop for a year now, the performance is really good and boots up really fast but the screen is not good (but you can get used to it) and the trackpad is pretty bad. battery lasts like 6 hours so not bad
